Modern Threats Require Modern Training

Our Training Philosophy

Today’s IED threats are evolving faster than ever. Legacy training focused on outdated analog circuits no longer reflects reality. At Render Safe Technologies, we provide advanced, scenario-based training on the latest IED threats, to include:

  • Microcontroller-based devices
  • Sensor modules
  • Mesh networked and wireless initiation systems

Every course incorporates threat assessment problems, as well as diagnostic reasoning and critical thinking exercises. We also train you on hazard awareness, threat recognition, and x-ray interpretation where appropriate, because all the circuit diagnostics in the world won’t help if you can’t get up to, or into the device.

Training Levels:

  • Basic IED Awareness and Recognition – This course is ideal for security professionals and first responders who have little knowledge of, or experience with IEDs or high-risk search techniques.
  • Bomb Appraisal Officer Training – In this course you will learn to do everything a bomb technician does, except perform render safe procedures.
  • Bomb-Response Team Training – We will build and train you a private bomb-response team from the ground up.
  • Advanced Bomb Disposal Techniques – Designed for certified EOD and bomb squad personnel, this course teaches recognition and hazards associated with modern circuitry.
  • Advanced Manual Techniques – This course is only for experienced bomb technicians, and focuses on hand-on use of specialized tools to access a variety of barrier materials protected by various sensor suites.
  • Bomb Building for Bomb Technicians and Investigators – This course is an in-depth look at device construction, and teaches the rationale behind device designs.
  • Specialized Counter-IED Courses – Custom training for unique operational needs.

Render Safe Technologies stands behind all of its courses, and guarantee a world-class level of training that is unmatched across government and industry. Every course comes with a detailed course training log that documents what you were trained on, who you were trained by, and the number of contact hours.
